Sasakawa Memorial Health Foundation
SMHF is engaged in three endeavours; Hansen's disease, palliative care and public health. Hansen's disease is the primary program, for which SMHF was established in 1974. We are committed to achieving a world without Hansen's disease and its consequences including stigma, discrimination and human rights issues. In order to achieve this goal, partnering with persons affected by leprosy and learning each other is our important guiding principle.
