Announcing the new NNN Vice-Chair 2023-2024

We are delighted to welcome the new NNN Vice-Chair, Mr. Gilbert Baayenda from The Fred Hollows Foundation. We look forward to his leadership and vision for the NNN community. 

Gilbert is a senior Trachoma Advisor at the Fred Hollows Foundation, is a public health professional and PhD fellow with two decades of experience in NTD program management. He is recognized as a prominent expert in Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs), with a substantial body of peer-reviewed publications. Gilbert's impactful contributions span policy formulation, intersectoral partnerships, and efficient supply chain management for Trachoma and NTD-related products and services. Gilbert is a leading advocate for cross-border trachoma/NTD elimination strategies, addressing the unique health needs of nomadic and refugee populations. His tireless dedication to public health underscores his commitment to combatting NTDs and advancing health equity across international boundaries.
