The Destination
Uganda, known as the Pearl of Africa, is a stunningly diverse country in East Africa, famous for its rich landscapes, abundant wildlife, and warm hospitality. Its natural beauty includes the majestic Rwenzori Mountains, Lake Victoria, the source of the River Nile, and abundant flora and fauna. Uganda is a biodiversity hotspot, home to mountain gorillas, Africa’s Big Seven, and over 1,000 bird species. Culturally, Uganda boasts over 56 ethnic groups, each with unique traditions and languages. With its unspoiled wilderness, vibrant cities, and deep cultural heritage, Uganda offers a captivating experience for every traveller.
The capital city, Kampala, will serve as the hub for the NNN Conference 2025. A bustling metropolis located on the shores of Lake Victoria, Kampala is a dynamic city that offers a mix of historical sites, lively markets, and a thriving culinary scene.
Travel Information
Getting Here:
Entebbe International Airport (EBB) is Uganda’s primary international gateway, located about 40 kilometers from Kampala. The airport is well-connected with direct flights from major cities across Africa, Europe, and the Middle East. Airport transfers to Kampala are readily available through taxis, shuttle services, and ride-hailing apps such as Uber and Bolt.
Getting to Speke Resort Munyonyo:
The conference will be hosted at Speke Resort Munyonyo, a luxurious lakeside retreat offering world-class amenities and scenic views of Lake Victoria. From Entebbe International Airport, attendees can reach the resort via private taxi, airport shuttle, or ride-hailing services. The journey takes approximately 45 minutes to an hour, depending on traffic. The resort also provides arranged airport transfers for added convenience.
Weather:
Kampala enjoys a tropical climate with relatively stable temperatures throughout the year. In September and October, temperatures range from 18°C (64°F) to 28°C (82°F), with occasional rainfall. Light, breathable clothing is recommended, along with an umbrella or raincoat for unexpected showers.

Health Information
Vaccinations:
Before traveling to Uganda, it is recommended to be up to date on routine vaccinations. Additional vaccinations such as Yellow Fever, Hepatitis A, and Typhoid may be advisable depending on your travel plans.
A Yellow Fever vaccination certificate is mandatory for all travelers aged one year and above entering Uganda, regardless of nationality or country of origin. Ensure that you receive this vaccination at least ten days before departure. It is also advisable to consult your healthcare provider for any other recommended immunizations based on your personal health history.
