CBM Global
CBM Global Disability Inclusion works alongside and is accountable to people with disabilities in the world’s poorest places. We draw on more than 115 years’ experience to fight poverty and exclusion and transform lives. CBM Global supports neglected tropical disease (NTD) programmes in areas where these diseases are identified as a public health problem. CBM Global believes in a holistic approach, where we don't focus only on breaking transmission cycles of infectious diseases, but also care for those that have been already affected. Through consultations with people living with NTDs, we provide comprehensive support that includes treating hydroceles, managing lymphedema, addressing mental health and wellbeing, and improving livelihoods. Additionally, we collaborate with the WASH sector to ensure that water, sanitation, and hygiene services are inclusive and accessible to all. By building on our long experience and existing strengths we aim to achieve a programme that is inclusive, comprehensive, integrated, cross-cutting, holistic, person-centred and country-led, following the WHO NTD Roadmap 2021-2030.
CBM Global's Inclusive Eye Health and NTDs Director, Dr. Danny Haddad, is the current chair of the NNN's Disease Management and Disability Inclusion (DMDI) Crosscutting Working Group.
