BIFERD
Bureau d'Informations, Formations, Échanges et Recherches pour le Développement (BIFERD) is a national NGO based in North Kivu, DR Congo. Founded in 2004, the organization’s mission is to reduce vulnerability and poverty to those affected by crisis and disasters. The areas of interventions include WASH, education, child protection and food security and nutrition.
BIFERD’s activities addressing neglected tropical diseases include the distribution of albendazole to children under 5 years old, community sensitization on hygiene, conducting KPI researches and hand washing and monitoring of cases in different health zones. We aim to train health staff, community volunteers and local leaders from 34 health zones in North Kivu on NTDs.
